Cassandra St. Fort

Chaos in. Delivery out.

I turn complicated, cross-functional programs into predictable delivery, then teach other Program and Project Managers and Scrum Masters how to do the same.

01About
CSF

Most programs don't stall because the plan is wrong. They stall because nobody in the middle of it is holding the pieces together, decision to decision. That's the work I've spent over a decade doing: the dependency maps, the stakeholder alignment, the execution details that separate a program that actually ships from one that just has a nice roadmap. I've done it in Healthcare, Fintech, Non-Profits, Real Estate, and Cybersecurity: different industries, same chaos, same fix.

None of that came from a textbook. It came from how I grew up.

I was raised in New York City until my family moved us out to the suburbs, chasing more room and better schools: the same trade-off I've now made myself, raising three kids of my own in New Jersey. If you've ever tried to keep a household of five roughly on schedule, you already understand most of what program management actually is.

I'm PMP, PMI-ACP, A-CSM, and SAFe SSM certified. The letters aren't the point, the work behind them is: turning a mess of moving parts into something a team can execute on Monday morning.

Off the clock, I'm probably chasing good light for a photo, tracking down whatever restaurant everyone's been talking about, or out walking toward my 10K steps for the day. It's the same instinct either way: notice what's actually happening, not what you assumed would.

Right now I'm exploring my next program leadership role, and building out how I talk about this work publicly: case studies, video breakdowns, the stuff nobody teaches you in a PMP course.

05The Problem

It's never really the plan that breaks.

Every program I've ever inherited already had the roadmap, the budget, and the tracking tool. What it didn't have was someone in the middle of it the team could actually count on: reliable enough to keep things moving without a daily rescue, communicative enough that nobody gets blindsided, trusted enough to walk into any room, and just as invested in the humans doing the work as the metrics they produce. That's the gap. That's the seat I fill.

Reliable

The one who makes it all run smoothly, without anyone having to check.

Communicative

Says the hard thing early, in plain language, before it's a crisis.

Trusted

The person stakeholders loop in early, because their word has held up before.

People-First

As invested in the humans doing the work as the metrics they produce.

Enterprise Telephony Migration

Migrating an Enterprise Phone System: Verizon to Vonage

Situation20+ offices and a call center running on a legacy Verizon system, with 5,000+ phone and fax numbers needing to move to cloud VoIP without disrupting service.
ActionRan a phased, office-by-office migration with live-tested IVR redesign and a shared billing dashboard to catch overlap charges before they happened.
→ 98% of numbers ported with zero disruption, 32% cost savings vs. the legacy system
98%numbers ported without disruption
32%savings vs. legacy system
4.8/5avg. caller rating post-migration
95%staff adoption within 60 days
Challenges
  • Porting 5,000+ phone and fax numbers with zero downtime on critical lines
  • Migrating and re-validating complex IVR call-routing logic
  • Managing overlapping Verizon/Vonage billing to avoid double charges
  • Coordinating site readiness and legacy equipment disposal across 20+ locations
  • Training staff on new phones and voicemail access before cutover
Solution
  • Phased rollout with critical departments migrated during off-peak hours and contingency routing in place
  • Centralized dashboard tracking porting status across all ~5,000 numbers
  • IVR prompts transcribed, remapped, and validated through live call simulations
  • Shared billing dashboard tracking contract end dates and reconciling final invoices

08How I Work
01

Clarity Over Chaos

Simplify first. A team that understands the plan moves faster than a team with a fancier plan.

02

People First, Process Second

Process exists to support the team, not the other way around. When it stops helping, I change it.

03

Say the Hard Thing Early

Bad news doesn't age well. I raise the risk in week two, not the retro after it's already a problem.

04

Ship the Next Right Thing

Momentum beats perfection. Progress is a habit, not a milestone you wait for.
