Most programs don't stall because the plan is wrong. They stall because nobody in the middle of it is holding the pieces together, decision to decision. That's the work I've spent over a decade doing: the dependency maps, the stakeholder alignment, the execution details that separate a program that actually ships from one that just has a nice roadmap. I've done it in Healthcare, Fintech, Non-Profits, Real Estate, and Cybersecurity: different industries, same chaos, same fix.
What I actually enjoy is less about the plan and more about the people running it. I like taking someone newer to program work and watching them get sharper: better at reading a room, faster to know when to escalate versus just fix it. I like being the translator in the room, too: turning an engineer's blocker into a sentence an executive will act on, and an executive's priority into something a team can actually build against. But the part that never gets old is the finish line: watching a program that used to be a dozen people talking past each other become one thing, shipped, working, in someone's hands.
None of that came from a textbook. It came from how I grew up.
I lived in Brooklyn until I was an adult with kids of my own. During COVID, my husband and I moved our family to New Jersey, where I'm now raising three kids. If you've ever tried to keep a household of five roughly on schedule, you already understand most of what program management actually is.
I'm PMP, PMI-ACP, A-CSM, and SAFe SSM certified. The letters aren't the point, the work behind them is: turning a mess of moving parts into something a team can execute on Monday morning.
Off the clock, I'm probably chasing good light for a photo, tracking down whatever restaurant everyone's been talking about, or out walking toward my 10K steps for the day. It's the same instinct either way: notice what's actually happening, not what you assumed would.
Right now I'm exploring my next program leadership role, and building out how I talk about this work publicly: case studies, video breakdowns, the stuff nobody teaches you in a PMP course.

- A Definition of Ready set before anything is eligible for a sprint
- Vision and success metrics agreed on with the team, not handed down from leadership
- Backlog groomed and sized before planning starts, not during the meeting
- A sprint goal set in one sentence everyone on the team can repeat
- Capacity planned against real availability: PTO, on-call, other commitments
- Daily stand-ups focused on blockers, not a status readout nobody needs
- Work visualized on a board the team actually uses, updated in real time
- Mid-sprint scope changes routed to the backlog, not slipped into the sprint
- Sprint review in front of real stakeholders, not just the delivery team
- A retro that closes on one concrete change, not a vague “communicate better”
- Velocity and burndown tracked to catch drift early, not at the deadline
- Increment released and validated against the original sprint goal
- Backlog re-prioritized with what was just learned, not left as-is
- Program rolls straight into the next iteration, no hard stop between sprints
